"I was referred to this office by some friends who've had insurance coverage with Jan's office for many years. They shared that they have been exceptionally pleased with Jan, her team, and how they do business! They go out of their way to take care of their customers. My wife and I now understand why our friends spoke so highly of this insurance office and their team members. Our dealings with them have been very pleasant and very professional. "Can't say enough nice things about how we've been treated by this office. The entire office is great although I specifically ask to talk to one agent (Timberly) as I have dealt with her from the get-go a couple years ago when we switched companies. I never feel like I'm being a pain or get the idea people are rolling their eyes at me and rushing me off the phone. Had a claim and it was the smoothest experience I could have hoped for. Would highly recommend this office and company to anyone. We have our house and car insurance bundled with them and it's less than others quoted for just insuring one (or the other). If I could give them more stars, I would...so, I'll rate them another way: Definitely an 11 out out of a scale from 1-10."

"Unfortunately, Jan over insured my disabled, elderly mother. I called her on it and changed the policy to what she actually needed. Then, Jan had my mother's insurance canceled! The reason given was her house was unoccupied. Of course it is. I moved my moma in with me in Arkansas. We have her house for sale and under contract. I can't believe that Jan took advantage of my mother like that. Please, don't do business with her for your own sake. She does NOT care about you!"

"I would give 0 stars if I could, but it's not possible. Over the years I had this agent, I received not one service. I did not receive insurance cards. When I had to remove a vehicle and add another but had moved (this was the last opportunity for this agent to be useful), as soon as the office heard that I wanted to move agents, they put it into the system to be moved without offering to take the car I no longer owned off and put the truck on first, leaving me with an uninsured truck for 48 hours and still paying for a car I no longer had. The same can be said for the house I had insured under them. When I put in a claim, they did not offer to help, it all fell to the central people. When I called to ask for references to contractors, they knew no one. When I called multiple times asking for any assistance whatsoever, they gave me a contractor who did not return phone calls. Finally, instead of offering any assistance, they showed up around my house looking for a way to deny insurance all the while knowing I'm trying to take care of real issues that they did not do anything about whatsoever. I cannot recommend this agent and I'm not sure I can recommend State Farm. ------------ Edit: I see the response. Now, anyone at central can see that this is the email I have registered in the system. There are probably very few people with the actions on the system to the account described above. Jan Carpenter's response was that she couldn't see me in the system. Either this is absolutely dishonest, or she's sidestepping, knowing that moving me to a different agent simply takes me off her visibility (still dishonest). Either way, everyone note what just happened here. Further detail: If your only action during years of being an agent for a customer is sending emails with card pictures, a programmer can replace you with a few minutes of work for all time. If that's the only thing you do, then maybe you can print those cards and mail them so the customer doesn't have to rely on an internet connection or go do your job for you and print it out. If you can't develop actions to alleviate common problems with houses in Alabama (piping under concrete built in during construction that is very hard to maintain), then what are you doing? If your central system as an insurance company makes an account inaccessible for 48 hours simply by moving it from one agent to another, that's a bad system."
